Band: Metallica
Album: ...And Justice For All (1988)

Quoique merdique, voire très merdique depuis des années lumières, à un point tel où l’on pourrait se demander comment un band comme Metallica ait déjà été un groupe solide, c’est impossible pour moi de passer à côté du playing de Lars Ulrich sur deux albums: Master Of Puppets et …And Justice For All. Je me rappelle très bien la première fois où j’ai entendu ce dernier chef-d’œuvre sorti en 1988. J’avais l’cul confortablement assis dans le salon d’un ami d’un de mes amis qui habitait un secteur riche de Sainte-Julie. Il a sorti son 33 tours de la pochette blanche, l’a installé sur une table-tournante de malade…et paf! Magie, magie! Quel album! Quel son! Dès le lendemain, pour ceux qui se rappellent de cette compagnie, ma cassette était commandée chez Maison Columbia! Au fil des semaines, j’ai appris toutes les tounes de l’album par cœur, à la cymbale près, au tom près, au rudiment de snare près… l’une des pistes de l’album que j’ai d’ailleurs jouée « live » à maintes reprises est Blackened!
