Devin Townsend: excellent guitariste, meilleur « front man » du métal et technicien de studio phénoménal. Il utilise pour la conception sonore de ses albums la technique du « Wall of Sound » mise au point par Phil Spector pour les albums des Beatles. Tous les albums métal devraient sonner comme l'album Alien. C'est ce qu'on essaye de faire en tout cas.
